It is our belief that you, the client, should feel you have experienced not only fun and different physical activity, but also feel that you have learned something that tickles your mind and enriches your spirit. At the same time you should feel that you have not done damage to fragile eco-systems.

At one point in time what we know as Cozumel lay on the bottom of the ocean.

As you hike through the wilderness accompanied by an experienced guide, you will find traces of the coral-reef Cozumel used to be. Brain corals and conch shells surrounded by hundreds of species of plants and land animals! The past mixed with the present. During this 3 hour hike through the dense green foliage of the Mayan jungle your guide will explain the ecological history of Cozumel as you venture further and further away from the paved roads and the beaten track. Wildlife encounters are common and we will stop at two "Cenotes". These Mayan springs are windows to the underground river system in the Yucatan. Surrounded by vegetation and exotic birds, they are excellent places to cool off after a hot trek. "Gin-clear" water makes swimming in them a fantastic experience. Guide, bottle water, healthy snacks, lunch and insect repellent are included. Long pants and sturdy footwear are recommended. Bathing suit and camera are optional. The guide has the right to alter the route should the conditions demand a change.
