"Discover the best of Cozumel"
Cozumel Horseback Riding Adventure #1: Saddle up and
join an unforgettable ride through the jungles and Savannas of Cozumel!
Travel inside jungle paths to El Cedral; in the middle of
Cozumel.
Your next stop along your journey will be El Cedral; The
only town located in the heart of the island. There you will take a 15
minute rest, see the first catholic church of Cozumel and view its Mayan Ruin
that dates back 2000 years. You can even buy some artesian art while
stretching your legs.
The Tour Includes: Orientation and Horseback riding time of approximately 2 1/2 hours with a 15 minute break in between. Galloping time is about 15 minutes, depending on the guests ability. A short riding class will be given by an experienced guide prior to starting your Cozumel horseback riding adventure. We are certain that you will enjoy this most exceptional tour! Here is a slide show of your Cozumel Horseback riding tour!
Cozumel Horseback Riding Adventure #2: Get ready for a totally different horseback riding experience. If you are interested in a longer and more in depth look at the flora and fauna of Cozumel this is the trip for you. Here you will ride slowly down beautiful pristine jungle paths, enjoy vistas, visit an old Mayan "sweat bath house" and enjoy or swim in a beautifully refreshing brackish water cenote in the middle of the jungle!
Upon your arrival at the ranch (Adventure #2; which is closer to town and the cruise ship piers then the first adventure point), you will be given an orientation so that you will understand where your horse will be taking you! Your guide will match you up with an appropriate horse depending on your skill level. After your orientation you will ride through Cozumel's most remote jungle paths that will bring you to a most special spot; a cenote in the middle of the Jungle named Xcan Ha! The cenote which is a brackish water (fresh water lake) is interconnected through miles of underground rivers. Xcan Ha is 150 feet deep at its deepest level. There is easy ingress and egress with wooden walkways and steps. This conote was once the life blood of civilization in the Mayas living nearby. The water is refreshingly cool which is even greater on those hot Cozumel days. At the bottom there are three caves that feed the fresh water into the lake on a constant basis. The color or the water (amber) is a result of overhanging vegetation That has fallen into it over the many years, but the spot is perfect. These interconnected rivers are one of the natural wonders of the island and you will be able to enjoy one up close and personal. This is a very refreshing way to end a day of horseback riding adventure in the "outback" jungles of Cozumel Island, Mexico! If you would like to see this tour in action click here!
